Complete computer services for hiome and business

Contract or Ad hoc?

Many small businesses start up on a limited budget. Quite naturally they sort out their computer requirements themselves if they feel able to, or get a friend to help. This obviously keeps costs down initially and can work for quite a while. Eventually though, there comes a point when the computers need attention and you can't spare the time, or don't have the ability. Neither can you wait till the weekend after next when your friend has some free time to come and sort them out for you. Maybe the problem is beyond your friend's capability too, it could even have been building up slowly, as you probably weren't doing all you could to ensure your systems were always at peak performance, you may even have noticed a gradual decline in responsiveness.

Ad hoc support will get individual problems fixed on a time and materials basis.

It will not necessarily address surrounding performance issues, nor will it monitor your systems to pre-emptively keep them trouble free and identify things that can be fixed before they develop into a crisis.

A regular monthly contract will bump you to the top of the queue if you do have a problem, as we commit to respond within one working day. In practice we rarely take more than 2 hours to respond and in the majority of cases you will get an immediate response at the end of the telephone, or email if you prefer. Naturally our regular contract clients have to take priority over one off customers. We operate normal office hours 5 days a week but can provide additional cover by arrangement at a small premium. In any event our normal policy is to have a review after 3 months to discuss how things are working out.

We offer Windows, Network and Internet support to keep your system running efficiently and trouble free. We do this remotely to keep the costs to a minimum. We also make sure that you are up to date with security patches etc. and keep a pre-emptive eye on things to anticipate and catch potential problems before they become an issue. We would be offering full support which would include support for Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc. on all PC's.

We can also enable you to log-on remotely from another location or from home and use your network as if you were present in the office. This can be particularly useful to keep on top of emails and to monitor office activity out of hours or when you are unable to be in 2 places at once. Security levels can be implemented to determine who has access to what.

In addition we can now provide Microsoft Licensed Software on a monthly basis, keeping you fully up to date with the latest versions of Office, Small Business Server and CRM Professional. This can be particularly cost effective if you are currently running older versions and would like to upgrade them and continually maintain the latest release.
